Ministry Renewal Forum III
October 19
7 00 PM to 8 00 PM

The Essential Leadership Role of the Church for the 2020 Elections in Protecting the Vote

The impact of the major pandemics of racism and COVID-19 have threatened African American and Latino voters like never before. As churches, the backbone of our communities, are not meeting in person, these voters are unable to access the one on one consultation and assistance needed to participate fully and effectively in the elections.  Many households, especially our poorest and elderly who lack internet access are at a special disadvantage in accessing accurate and needed Voting information. In addition, there is deliberate disinformation being targeted at many voters to discourage and confuse them. Our discussion will outline these challenges and how we can best muster our strengths and God’s grace as religious leaders to provide needed and effective interventions to assist embattled voters.
