Regent Bridges Seminar I
April 14
9 00 AM to 3 00 PM

Prayer Changes Everything

This seminar will cover:

1. Deepening Your Personal Prayer Life

C.S. Lewis wrote, "God doesn't want something from us. He simply wants us." We will explore how we develop a deeper intimacy with God through prayer. We will study different types of devotional prayer such as: Prayer of Adoration, Contemplative/Meditative Prayer, Practicing His Presence, Petitionary Prayer, and Prayer Journaling. We will look at the works of significant devotional writers in church history and how they can applied to grow our prayer life. Each participant will have the opportunity to design a personalized spiritual growth plan for this next season.

2. Catalyzing Corporate Prayer

James 5:16 says that the prayers of the righteous will avail much. How can we be a catalyst for corporate prayer in the spheres of influence He has called us? We will explore different types of corporate prayer such as: Praying the Word, Authoritative Prayer, Healing Prayer, Fasting Prayer, and Intercessory Prayer. We will also study different movements of prayer and how they were a precursor to every major revival in church history. Each participant will have the opportunity to design a plan for corporate prayer for this next season.

3. Stewarding God's Dreams for You

Why does God give us dreams and desires so many years before they come to fruition, and how do we steward these in prayer? We will look at Joseph's life and how he walked toward the vision God gave him, even during delays and apparent detours. Each participant will have the opportunity to pray into their dreams, and ask God how they can position themselves to walk in the fullness of what He has for them in the next season.
